Hand to Paw Cat Rescue Inc is dedicated to reducing the number of abandoned and homeless cats in Monroe County. Our efforts include Rescuing, TNR and adopting cats into compatible, loving, forever homes. Thru our rescue efforts and public education, we can enhance the quality of life for these animals while reducing the over-population problem plaguing our streets.
Hand To Paw Cat Rescue Inc. is a non-profit organization completely run by dedicated volunteers. Our work is funded by your donations. All donations go directly to improving the lives of homeless cats in our community.

Our Work
TNR
​
TNR, or Trap-Neuter-Return, is a humane method for managing and reducing feral cat populations. The process involves trapping feral cats, neutering or spaying them, and then returning them to their original location. This approach helps to stabilize cat populations, prevent overpopulation while improving the health and well-being of the cats.
Colony Caregiving
​
Caring for a feral, abandoned, or stray cat colony involves providing food, water, and shelter while ensuring their health and safety. Daily we provide food and fresh water to the less fortunate cats living on the streets. Our volunteers monitor and maintain their well-being and provide a safe space to protect them from harsh weather conditions. With patience and dedication, you can support these resilient animals in your community.

Socialization

Socializing stray cats involves gradually introducing them to human interaction in a safe controlled manner. This process is crucial as it helps reduce their fear and stress, making them more adaptable and increasing their chances of finding a loving home. Ultimately, socializing stray cats contributes to their well-being and helps mitigate the challenges of feral populations in our communities.
Special Needs

Our focus is on those with unique challenges, including those with CH, deaf, blind, and tripod.
